Bratislava, October 3 (TASR) - A spokesman for Slovakia's Interior Ministry said Sunday that it is monitoring the on-the-ground situation after the United States and Britain warned their citizens of an increased risk of terrorist attacks in Europe earlier in the day.
"We will release any information obtained which the public should know about," according to ministry's Gabor Grendel.
U.S. authorities are urging its citizens in Europe to be alert in public and in crowded places.
American and European security experts have been voicing worries for days now that terrorists could be planning to carry out an armed commando attack in Europe such as that of 2008 in the Indian city of Mumbai.
The Czech Republic tightened up security measures at its international airport Praha-Ruzyn and in other facilities that it is not naming.
