Budget Deficit Deepened to Over €3 billion in September

Bratislava, October 1 (TASR) - The state-budget deficit rose from €2.822 billion in August to €3.110 billion in September, the Finance Ministry announced on Friday.
The deficit was more than double the one recorded a year ago, as it stood at €1.360 billion in September 2009.
A total deficit of €3.476 billion is projected for the whole of 2010, with the figure to September reaching 83 percent of this sum.
State incomes in September 2010 increased by 4 percent year-on-year to reach €7.540 billion, which represents 60.2 percent of the expected sum for the whole year of €12.531 billion.
Meanwhile, state expenditures were 24 percent higher than in the same month of 2009, reaching €10.650 billion. This represents 65.4 percent of the planned sum for the whole of 2010 - €16.277 billion.
