"The task to submit the budget proposal by September 30 was met this way ... the Government should discuss it and submit it to Parliament by October 15," Finance Ministry spokesman Martin Jaros told TASR, adding that the October 15 deadline is legally binding.

According to the proposal, subsidies worth €1.045 billion in total should be provided for the municipal and Higher Territorial Units' (VUC) budgets. A reserve fund of €24 million has been created.
