Bratislava, September 14 (TASR) - It's still unclear how the governing Coalition wants to get down to the planned reductions in salaries of around 2,600 public officers. Following the Coalition Council meeting late on Tuesday, Prime Minister Iveta Radicova (SDKU-DS) informed that there are two alternatives at hand, but it will only be known next Tuesday (September 21) as to which one the Coalition decided to choose.
However, Radicova didn't say anything particular about features of the two alternatives, saying that the Finance Ministry still has to calculate both of them to see which one brings more effective reductions. "Each version leads us to at least 10-percent reductions in salaries," she said, adding that the measure will also include shrinking pays for managements in state-owned or co-owned companies.
