Slovak Red Cross Actively Joining 'World First Aid Day'

Bratislava, September 11 (TASR) - The second Saturday of September is marked every year by the World First Aid Day, especially celebrated by two global humanitarian organisations - the Red Cross and the Red Crescent.
This year's leitmotif of the day is 'First Aid For All', and all 38 Slovak units associated under the Slovak Red Cross are joining the global event with their activities.
The individual events taking place in Slovakia on Saturday feature presentations of providing first aid, as well as practical treatment of the most frequent types of injuries. Also, the activists are ready to give advice as to how to respond to life-threatening situations.
The Slovak Red Cross has also reported that there would be simultaneous blood collections organised in several regions of Slovakia.
