BSK to Compensate Bereaved after Massacre in Devinska Nova Ves

Bratislava, September 7 (TASR) - Chairman of Bratislava regional self-administration Pavol Freso (SDKU-DS) said in the Bratislava borough of Devinska Nova Ves on Tuesday that the regional government will provide financial support to the bereaved after the massacre that took place in the borough on August 30.
The compensation will reach €300 for each of gunman's seven victims. Freso added that ways how to support the other 15 wounded people have to be decided upon.
According to Freso, it is also necessary to improve the feeling of safety of people in Devinska Nova Ves by increasing the number of police officers in the area. "In this vein, we'll appeal to the Interior Minister (Daniel Lipsic)," said Freso.
The local authorities approved a statement on the tragic even in which they condemn all forms of violence, express condolences to the bereaved and support to the injured.
