Lady Ashton Visits Slovak Exhibition at World EXPO in Shanghai

Shanghai/Bratislava, September 2 (TASR) - The Slovak exhibition at the World EXPO in the Chinese city of Shanghai was visited by High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policies and European Commission Vice-chair Lady Catherine Ashton on August 31, the press department of the Foreign Affairs Ministry has told TASR.
During her visit, Lady Ashton was interested mainly in the symbolism used by the creators of the Slovak exhibition. She also took an interest in Ladislav Hudec, the architect of the first skyscraper built in Shanghai. She views this project as an interesting link between Shanghai and Slovakia.
Lady Ashton was also captivated by the diversity of Slovakia's countryside and the richness of its mineral waters and springs.
