Bratislava, August 18 (TASR) - Prime Minister Iveta Radicova told journalists Wednesday that she has government support to give away some €2.2 million remaining in her special reserve as relief for floods-affected localities.
The bulk of the untapped funds, €900,000, will go to the regional authority in Kosice, which has spent profusely on rebuilding a bridge in the town of Spisska Nova Ves; €455,500 for those in need who were not included by mayors in the list of first financial aid; €311,450 for the village of Nizna Mysla to cover the rescue and demolition work and regeneration of a local housing estate.
The remainder will be remitted back to Government and used according to an assessment of the situation following the disbursement of the first financial relief after September 7.
