Bratislava, August 11 (TASR) - Slovak National Party (SNS) deputy chair Anna Belousovova rejected accusations from the fellow opposition Smer-SD that her party works with the governing coalition in parliament after she and another SNS MP Igor Stefanov voted on Wednesday to advance the immunity curbing bill to second reading.
"We are not beholden to Smer-SD and will not always vote the way they do," she told reporters, adding that SNS held no negotiations with the ruling coalition just like it did not with Smer-SD about anything.
The SNS caucus has taken no decisions as to how to vote on the bill meaning its lawmakers have free rein in that respect. Therefore she and Stefanov consciously voted to move the bill to the second reading and will again vote in its favour. Belousovova said she wants lawmaker's immunity curtailed.
Earlier on Wednesday Smer-SD Chairman Robert Fico voiced his suspicion that SNS and SDKU-DS cooperage which is evident from a number of parliamentary votings.
