Kalinak: Galko Isn't Dilettante But Fraudster

Bratislava, August 10 (TASR) - Smer-SD MP and former interior minister Robert Kalinak in Parliament on Tuesday reproached Defence Minister Lubomir Galko (Freedom and Solidarity/SaS) vis-a-vis the appointment of the Military Intelligence Service chief Milan Hudec.
Shortly after being appointed, Hudec was suspended over suspicions concerning his security clearance certificate.
According to Kalinak, the way in which Galko has managed the whole situation is a testimony to the fact that he doesn't have the faintest idea about the ministry he is running.
Kalinak further "apologised" on behalf of his party-fellow Pavol Paska, who last week called Galko a "dilettante". Kalinak said that a more appropriate term would have been "imposter or fraudster". The former interior minister added that he has presented Galko with a dictionary of foreign words so that he can study these terms.
Culture Minister Daniel Krajcer (SaS) defended Galko by saying that he understands why "he's sitting heavily in [Smer's] stomach".
Galko on Monday filed a criminal complaint over a shady tender at the ministry involving the modernisation of old helicopters. The Defence Ministry was under Smer's remit during the former electoral term (2006-10).
