Bratislava, August 8 (TASR) - Following a two-week stoppage at its Bratislava plant, car-maker Volkswagen Slovakia will recommence full production as of Monday, August 9, TASR has learnt.
The company at the same time continues to hire new workers, as due to increased demand for the vehicles made at its Bratislava production facilities, it plans to launch seven-days-a-week output as of September, for which it needs some 1,000 new employees.
At the moment around 260 newly-created posts are still vacant, TASR was told on Sunday by Volkswagen Slovakia spokesman Vladimir Machalik, who added that the company is seeking to employ people with a technical education, regardless of whether they have any experience in the automotive industry or not.
