Senec, August 7 (TASR) – Local authorities say that investors are still interested in facilities along D1 motorway just outside Bratislava where they can place their logistics centres.
In particular, lands along the road from Senec and Pezinok (both Bratislava region) appear to be highly attractive due to their proximity to Slovakia's capital.
Besides being well-equipped in terms of road infrastructure, the area of Senec is also attractive due to its location, practically neighbouring with Bratislava's international airport which lies on the outskirts of the capital. Investors may as well make use of Bratislava's river port on the Danube.
"Senec, only 25 kilometres away from Bratislava offers ideal conditions for businesses not only from Slovakia, but also from abroad," said the town's Mayor Karol Kval.
The latest project featuring construction of a logistics centre has been allocated an area of some 300 hectares, and its investment value is to climb up to €830 million. More than 500 large-size halls are expected to grow here, offering storage capacities on an area of over two million square metres. It is estimated that more than 300 new companies would run their businesses here in future.
