SaarGummi to Expand Rubber-component Operation in Vestenice

Bratislava, August 4 (TASR) - Rubber-component maker SaarGummi's Slovak unit plans to invest in ramping up production by 80 percent, increasing the number of workers at its plant in Dolne Vestenice (Trencin Region) from 608 to 1,058, states an Environmental Impact Assessment study unveiled by the company on Tuesday.
The factory in Vestenice will manufacture more of its supplementary products for the automotive industry, including a variety of sealings for vehicle doors and windows, on its premises built between 2004-06.
Called ContiTech Sealing Systems Slovakia at its inception in November 2003, but renamed Saar Gummi Slovakia in October 2005, the limited liability company with a registered capital of €9.5 million has as its partners SaarGummi Technologies in Luxembourg and Saargummi Beteligungs GmbH in Germany.
