PAS: Business Environment Worsened in 2Q10

Bratislava, August 4 (TASR) - The business environment in Slovakia took a turn for the worse in 2Q10, Slovak Business Alliance (PAS) executive director Robert Kicina reported on Wednesday.
The Business Environment Index, drawn up by PAS based on its own observations, stood at 91.5 points, representing a drop of 2.61 percent quarter-on-quarter.
The biggest falls in 2Q10 were recorded in the category of law enforcement and the judiciary, which saw a fall of 9.47 percent to 23.2 points.
Conversely, businessmen regarded the quality and accessibility of manufacturing inputs and workforce as the most positive aspects, along with a market revival and successful austerity measures and strategies implemented during the crisis.
