Bratislava, July 26 (TASR) - Economy and Construction Minister Juraj Miskov plans to submit to his ministerial colleagues a proposal to provide stimuli for two foreign investors on Wednesday (July 28).
"Namely, it's the compressor-producing Brazil-based company called the Embraco Slovakia, which stands ready to create 300 jobs in Spisska Nova Ves (Kosice region) and the Belgian-Slovak metal processor LVD S2 that will create some 250 jobs in Revuca (Banska Bystrica region)," Miskov told TASR.
According to him, these are interesting and high-quality projects that were neglected by the former government. "On the other hand, however, there were projects (in 2006-10) to which I wouldn't ever have given consent due to their non-transparent background. Specifically, I'm referring to investors I've never heard of who created jobs at extremely high costs," he said.
An in-depth audit of all contracts and public procurement processes is currently underway at the Economy and Construction Ministry. "As soon as I get my hands on the audit's results, I'll surely let the public know about any controversial cases," he said.
