Bratislava, July 26 (TASR) - The six parties that entered Parliament after the June 12 general election spent a total of €10,206,300, according to a final report on election campaign spending posted by the Finance Ministry on its website Monday.
Of that, the then strongest opposition party SDKU-DS invested in €3,120,000, ahead of SNS having spent €2,736,500; and Smer-SD also crossing the €2-million mark with €2,150,000 in campaign funding.
Christian Democrats (KDH) sank €940,000 in its campaign; Most-Hid nearly €700,000; and Freedom and Solidarity €528,500.
[The report differs considerably from what was published last week based on the information submitted by the parties themselves. Last week the total was only €6,235,000 and included all 18 parties running, and the biggest spender was reported to be SNS. - ed. note]
