Bratislava, July 21 (TASR) - Having taken office earlier this month, Slovakia's Defence Minister Lubomir Galko will head a ministerial delegation on his first foreign trip to the Czech Republic on Thursday, the Defence Ministry has stated on its website.
Galko will meet his Czech counterpart Alexander Vondra and reaffirm top quality bilateral relations between the two countries in military terms.
"The two defence officials are expected at their discussions to thrash out topical issues surrounding both countries' membership of the European Union and NATO. They will judge the quality of military co-operation and brief each other on developments in their sector," states the ministry website.
The Slovak Defence Ministry delegates will also meet Chairman of the Czech Senate Premysl Sobotka and Czech Prime Minister Petr Necas.
