SACR Promoted Slovakia at 26 Fairs in 1H10

Bratislava, July 6 (TASR) - The Slovak Tourism Agency (SACR) promoted Slovakia as a tourist destination at 26 expos and fairs in the first half of 2010, organising 50 presentations and workshops, as well as 23 info-trips for international journalists.
"At the beginning of the year, the agency presented Slovakia at the Winter Olympics at Vancouver in Canada, addressing more than 1,000 local tour-operators and representatives from tourist agencies," reported SACR.
As far as attendance at international expos is concerned, SACR focused mainly on certain prestigious fairs, such as the world's leading travel trade show ITB Berlin, the biggest tourism expo in Russia MITT Moscow, and the Holiday World show in Prague.
SACR also organised a campaign called 'Holiday in Slovakia', which focused on families with children and attempted to persuade Slovaks to opt for vacations in their own country.
