Slovak Gastronomic Days Event Opens at Shanghai Expo 2010

Bratislava, June 28 (TASR) - A three-day event called Slovak Gastronomic Days, designed to present the nation's culinary prowess, was opened on Monday at the country's pavilion at the Shanghai World Expo 2010.
Visitors will be encouraged to sample meals that will be prepared by Slovak chefs at the local Howard Johnson hotel.
EXPO Shanghai 2010 kicked off on May 1, with the Slovak pavilion showcasing a wide array of interesting programmes from day one, including a beauty pageant and demonstrations of the natural riches of Slovak spring water.
More than one million visitors have dropped in at the pavilion.
