Serbia Offers Investment Opportunities to Slovak Firms

Bratislava, June 25 (TASR) - Industrial parks in Slovakia and so-called 'free zones' in Serbia were the main topics of the 3rd annual International Business Forum that took place in Bratislava on Thursday.

The forum presented opportunities for Serbian companies expanding into new markets in the European Union, as well as unused opportunities that Serbia is offering to Slovak businesses, namely in placing investments in Serbia's 'free zones'.

The event, opened by Serbian Ambassador to Slovakia Danko Prokic, took place as part of an ongoing project run by the Slovak–Serbian Trade Chamber.

Presentation panels focusing on the Serbian free zones took a closer look at an industrial park in Backi Petrovac in the region of Vojvodina, an area of Serbia with large numbers of ethnic Slovaks, Slovak-Serbian Trade Chamber co-ordinator Daniel Nikolic told TASR on Friday.
