Slovak Economy in 2008 Grew Slower Than Originally Stated

Bratislava, November 16 (TASR)- Slovakia's gross domestic product (GDP) in 2008 grew more slowly than originally reported by statisticians, rising by 6.2 percent instead of the originally reported 6.4 percent, the Statistics Office said on Monday.
According to the original figures, the country's GDP in 2008 was €50.482 billion, but the revised figures stand at €50.418 billion.
A year earlier, the originally reported figure for GDP was €47.45 billion, representing growth of 10.4 percent, but revised data put GDP at €47.487 billion in 2007, representing 10.6-percent growth.
