Bratislava, June 17 (TASR) - The five-star Kempinski Hotel River Park hotel opened for business Thursday on the left bank of the Danube River in Bratislava and is a key part of the multi-purpose River Park complex, which is still under construction in several areas.
"Some €70 million has been invested in the building of the hotel, which involved 1,200 people," said Peter Korbacka, CEO and Chairman of the investor and development company J&T Real Estate.
The 11-storey Kempinski Hotel River Park, which will be highly illuminated every night, offers 231 luxuriously furnished rooms and 40 suites including the largest presidential suite in town. The L-shaped building includes office space, restaurants and 11 conference rooms.
"Bratislava remains a little-known tourist destination in the world. Our hotel will add to the portfolio of Kempinski group and boost the company's strength in eastern Europe," said Konstantin Zeuke, director-general of the new hotel. He estimates the occupancy rate this summer to be 35-40 percent.
