Bratislava, June 15 (TASR) - Smer-SD Chairman Robert Fico has officially invited the representatives of the centre-right parties (SDKU-DS, SaS, KDH and Most-Hid) for negotiations about forming the future government, TASR learned from Fico's spokesperson Silvia Glendova on Tuesday.
According to Glendova, the Government is waiting for their reply at the moment. "Officially, no response has come as yet," she said.
SDKU-DS election leader and candidate for the post of prime minister Iveta Radicova claimed that her party has received the invitation from Smer-SD, but will decline the offer. The same thing holds true with the Freedom and Solidarity (SaS) party, said SaS spokesperson Tatiana Tothova. Leaders of the remaining centre-right parties declared they won't take part in any talks with Smer-SD either.
The breakdown in seats after Saturday's vote is 79-71 in favour of the four centre-right parties over Smer-SD and SNS (Slovak National Party).
