Decision on Seagle Air's Licence to Be Made Within 10 Days

Bratislava, December 8 (TASR) - Whether the airline company Seagle Air will indeed lose its licence is likely to be known next week, TASR learnt on Tuesday.

"We're launching proceedings on withholding the licence for operating air transport," Transport Ministry spokesman Stanislav Jurikovic told TASR.

Slovakia's Aviation Office found out that the company is currently unable to operate air transport from the technical point of view. "The inspection showed that Seagle Air no longer possesses a certificate as an air transport operator," said Jurikovic.

The airlines announced in October that it has found itself in financial woes, indicating on October 22 that it is suspending all of its charter flights planned for the immediate future. "The reason for this decision is that the Italian partner Skyone Italy Airlines has not yet fulfilled its contractual commitment to pay for the use of our planes for flights from Italy," said the company.
