Proposal to Place Petrikova and Hudak at Supreme Court Submitted

Bratislava, June 15 (TASR) - A proposal for the temporary placement of outgoing Justice Minister Viera Petrikova and State Secretary Daniel Hudak at the Slovak Supreme Court was submitted to a session of the Judicial Council on Tuesday, TASR was told by spokesman and member of the council Juraj Sopoliga.

The decision as to whether the proposal submitted by Supreme Court chairman Stefan Harabin (a former justice minister) will be discussed at Tuesday's session will be decided at the session itself, which isn't open to public.

The executive body of the Supreme Court approved the move on Monday. "The judges on the council have no objections to the temporary assignment of judges Viera Petrikova and Daniel Hudak to hold posts as judges at the Slovak Supreme Court," Sylvia Machalova of the Office of the Supreme Court chairman told TASR.
