Insurer Report Claims Filed for Damages for Property Harmed by Flooding

Bratislava, June 11 (TASR) - Slovakia's major insurance companies report tens of millions of euros claimed in recent days by their clients in damages for their property destroyed by devastating floods in May and June.
German insurer Allianz at its Slovak unit Slovenska Poistovna has so far registered the country's highest number of claims - 22,000 - worth a total of €16 million, and expects it to rise to between 28,000-30,000 worth more than €25-30 million.
Next come insurers Kooperativa with a tally of 4,000 claims valued at over €7 million, the Slovak unit of Generali with 1,800 claims estimated to cost around €3 million, and 250 claims filed by policy holders at Union worth an average of €10,000 each.
