Ministry Pays Out Close to €1 Million in Aid to Flood Victims

Bratislava, June 10 (TASR) - The Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs and the Family to date has paid out €965,300 in aid to people whose dwellings were ravaged by severe floods recently and the payments may continue, Minister Viera Tomanova told reporters on Thursday.
Aid averaging €620 was furnished from the ministry's Humanitarian Fund for 1,558 applicants including both individuals and families (120 municipalities) to secure essentials such as accommodation, clothes and food.
Among the most-recent villages to be deluged in Malcice (Kosice region) and relief for 60 families there is now being furnished.
