Ministers to Redistribute €15 million in State Aid

Bratislava, June 8 (TASR) - The Government is set to hold the last regular meeting of its term in office on Wednesday, when, among other things, it will take decisions on how to distribute nearly €15 million in state investment aid between four applicants recommended by the Economy Ministry.
Semecs hopes to receive €4.69 million to expand its electronic circuit-board factory in Vrable (Nitra region), while Bodet&Horst; mattress ticking Verwaltungs in Vrbove is seeking €5.51 million to build a plant in Vrbove (Trnava region) to make textile materials (mattress coverings).
SKILAB in Spisska Nova Ves (Kosice region) wants €2.25 million to help implement tourism projects such as the building of new ski slopes, alpine transport and boarding facilities at the Slovak Paradise National Park. The Central European Technological Institute (CEIT) in Zilina has requested €2.43 million.
Last month saw €16 million distributed between six companies - €917,000 to ZKW to help build a technological centre in Krusovce (Nitra region); €3.45 million to Sapa Profily from Ziar nad Hronom (Banska Bystrica); €1.6 million in total (including via tax breaks) to Stawi in Trebisov (Kosice region) to expand a nearby operation; €3.53 million to Monocrystalex SK in Medzilaborce (Presov region) to buy tangible assets and create new jobs; €2.28 million to Pasivhaus Modul Systeme in the village of Ton (Nitra region); and €4.5 million to SKH Plastic from Matuskovo (Trnava region).
