Bratislava, June 7 (TASR) - According to information published by the Labour Ministry on Monday, so far 1,105 people affected by the floods in May and June will receive a total of €672,780 from Labour Minister Viera Tomanova's humanitarian fund.
The money will be distributed with the help of 18 labour, social affairs and the family centres (UPSVaR) and 92 local authority offices. The financial aid will not exceed €800 per person, while the average is €608.86 each.
People affected by the floods should start receiving their money as of Monday, as Tomanova announced at an extraordinary government session dealing with the floods on Saturday. The crisis aid is meant to be allocated to those affected most. "(The financial help) is meant for families that have to acquire basic items for survival, such as food, clothing and others," said Tomanova on Saturday.
