Trnava, June 7 (TASR) - Car-maker PSA Peugeot-Citroen in Trnava said on Monday that it has resumed normal operations following restrictions forced on it late last week by a halt in the delivery of components.
Supplies were disrupted due to the flooding of the industrial park in Nitra region that houses the supplier. The flood was caused by the overflowing Zitava River.
"We began in the press shop on Sunday's night shift, manufacturing is going on for all operations according to the routine schedule," said spokesman for PSA's Slovak unit.
The supplier in the town of Vrable is reported to have sorted out its flood-related problems and resumed the production of components. On Friday it was able to accumulate enough supplies to enable the car maker to reinstate two shifts.
