Bratislava, December 7 (TASR) - Of the €11.36 billion from Structural, Cohesion and European Fisheries Funds approved by European Union for Slovakia in the 2007-13 period, the country had drawn €464.09 million or 4.09 percent of the total by the end of November, the Finance Ministry said on Monday.
"Slovakia in November accelerated the drawing of funds by 2 percentage points on the previous month," said the ministry.
Of the 2007 allocation of Structural and Cohesion Funds Slovakia had drawn by last month €243.43 million or 62.62 percent for transport- and ecology-related projects, 29.62 points more than to the end of October. These figures do not account for funds drawn for three Operating Programmes - European Territorial Co-operation between Slovakia and the Czech Republic, Interact and Fisheries.
Four Operating Programmes: Transport, Technical Assistance, Employment and Social Inclusion, along with the Regional Operating Programme, have seen 100 percent of their allocation for 2007 taken out, moving on to allocations for 2008, with Transport drawing 100 percent for that year and Technical Assistance 68.46 percent.
