Kiesel Recalled as SARIO Chief, Heads for Diplomatic Mission

Bratislava, May 31 (TASR) - Economy Minister Lubomir Jahnatek on Monday recalled Juraj Kiesel from the post of general director of the Slovak Trade and Investment Development Agency (SARIO), with President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Slovakia Robert Simoncic put in charge of the agency as of June 1, Vahram Chuguryan of the ministry's communications department said on Monday.
According to Chuguryan, Kiesel is currently preparing to embark on a diplomatic mission to the Libyan capital Tripoli.
Kiesel was put in charge of SARIO on May 8, 2009, after his predecessor Peter Hajas was dismissed. Kiesel then became the agency's general director on September 2.
Kiesel joined SARIO in 2004, and headed the international missions department as an expert on the Middle East before being nominated for the post of director. He was also responsible for communications between the business sector and business partners, the preparation and running of business missions, international fairs, exhibitions and co-operative events.
