"KMS currently employs some 2,800 workers and we plan for the winter holidays to take place at Kia Motors Slovakia (KMS) between December 24-31. They (the workers) will return to work on January 4, 2010," said KMS spokesman Dusan Dvorak.

PSA Peugeot Citroen Slovakia in Trnava will halt production on December 22. "The pause will last until January 4, 2010, and during this time regular maintenance of technological factory devices will take place," said Peugeot spokesman Peter Svec.
