Bratislava, May 21 (TASR) - Members of Amnesty International (AI) from Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Austria and Hungary will join the Gay Pride parade in Bratislava this coming Saturday, head of AI's branch in Bratislava Branislav Tichy said on Friday.
"We're proud to be able to take part in the Rainbow Pride. Diversity and tolerance, equality before the law for all without discrimination are slogans that Amnesty International will bring to the streets of Bratislava on Saturday," said Tichy in reference to Bratislava's first-ever event of the kind.
"All people, irrespective of their sexual orientation or gender identity, should be able to enjoy human rights to the full extent. The state's failure to ensure that relations between people of the same sex have equal rights constitutes an obstacle to their having access to other rights," he added.
